Dart: I think Bokovoy could provide more or any evidence that it shocked people in Joseph Smith's day, the things he asserted; but I still see a fundamental difference in Joseph's doctrine of the council in heaven being composed of deities and anything taught by other biblical scholars of Smith's day. The recent academic interest in taking the "ye are gods" scripture literally is interesting to note, as opposed to fundamental Christians of today.

Wow, thanks!

It always gives me the warm fuzzies when someone puts a quote of mine in his/her signature line. It's only happened one other time, when The Dude quoted me in his MA&D signature line. I think it's still there, all these months later.

Since I can't post at MA&D, the fact that a quotation from me shows up regularly over there must drive them nuts. :-)
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Did you get banned in one of the mass bannings, or were you booted for some particular post you made? I never saw you do anything particularly "ban-worthy", but then I don't think I did, either. It's hard to understand their thought processes sometimes.

Oh, Shades is infamous. He has been on Juliann's sh** list forever! He was banned before the mass bannings, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not sure exactly what his "last straw" offense was, though.

I look forward to Shades enlightening us.

Yeah, the sh** list is getting kinda crowded. I've been on it for a long time. I must say that today things have veered into the surreal when DCP suggested that Joseph Smith really could find buried treasure by looking at a rock in a hat. Still shaking my head over that one.

If you're on Juliann's S*** List, you can't even view the forums, let alone post. Therefore you cannot be on the S List. You may on the C List (Critics) or the A List (arse list), but you are definitely not on the S List. That is reserved for those of us that Juliann's truly hates.

MAD makes me ill. It follows the same old pattern: some would-be apologist says something totally off-base, and wanton back-slapping ensues. Then when critics crash the party, they get either ad hominem'd, flooded with links to FARMS and Margaret Barker essays, or ignored. If only I could subdue my masochistic tendencies and/or rage at the patent misrepresentations of critics' views, I would never post there again.

Does anything else happen over at MAD? You certainly act different over there.
