As a sidenote, Dr. Marcus Martins in his book (at least the one I bought over the weekend… don’t know if he has more) on blacks and the priesthood refers to the priesthood ban as the “so-called priesthood ban.”

Ah, man. Talk about misplaced guilt. You're only my favorite LDS poster of all time!

You were a lot more fun when you used to employ your obscene avatar. Now you're just a continual stooge for the "we hate DCP" crowd.
rcrocket
What obscene avatar?
And I'm not part of that crowd either. I'm entirely too anti-social. Yet, I do like DCP.
Bizarre!
It was my "Diamonds....she'll pretty much have too" avatar.

Yeah, it was definitely a caricature. In response to DCP's statement that he was gratified that some non-LDS (myself included) had voiced preference for the god of Greek paganism. "Candor is good," he wrote.
And, when I responded in kind and threatened to document his response (which I obviously did), he wrote something to the effect: "Hey, I thought we were just having a conversation." And he suggested he wouldn't interact with me anymore.

Who knows.....he probably had his butt plug in when he was replying or something.

I think CKS is one of the first Calvinists I actually liked. I never mutch cared for how Dutch Calvinists (Gereformeerd) seemed to treat me on my mission. With CKS, on the other hand, I've had some interesting discussions.
That's General Leo. He could be my friend if he weren't my enemy. eritis sicut dii I support NCMO

Oh dear!! Honestly, I don't get that at all. I know DCP hotly claimed that "so-called Mountain Meadows Massacre" only meant that it is normally called such, but frankly, that makes no sense at all.
So why would someone call it the "so-called" ban? It was obviously a ban. Who is Dr. Martins?
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Well, I can't say that you're the first LDS I actually liked. But, the feeling is mutual.
