Craig also discussed his relationship with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Craig was Senate liaison for Romney's campaign, a post he abandoned when the scandal became known. Romney called Craig's conduct "disappointing and disgraceful" and immediately dropped Craig when the guilty plea was revealed.
"I was very proud of my association with Mitt Romney," Craig said. "And he not only threw me under his campaign bus, he backed up and ran over me again."
Perhaps old Lar was lying for the lord and Mitt's discern-o-meter was out of whack when he threw poor old Craig under the campaign bus....
while Sen. Craig was in denial spin mode with Matt Lauer last night. =to my astonishment= I was not shocked or offended by his irrational position. He is a politician, he is doing what he, and his people(the party) feels the best way to handle this sticky situation..;)
- deny deny deny -- the police officer was a profiler -- I AM NOT GAY -- my palm was down -- I can't remember(listen to recording)/well that is not what I meant -- I have a natural wide stance -- I wanted it to all go away -- It was a sting -- did our feet touch? I don't remember -- blah blah blah --
and the crowning moment of all of his illogical statements
-- I was only picking up a piece of toilet paper from a public restroom floor --
I have been in airports all over the country. If I were to run a crossed any random piece of toilet paper in a stall, on the ground behind a toilet. reaching down and picking it up with bare hands is the most disgusting, reprehensible thing I can imagine doing with it. when that subject came up I started laughing.. but I understood what he was doing, and why he was doing it- Yes, it was a gross display of denial, justification, and undeniable backpedaling. but he is toeing the party line, for the sake of the party...
my wife asked, what is so funny.. and I related the highlights of last few days in the world of Mormon apologetics - with the Treasure-seeking debacle on MA&D - the Bokovoy - Kevin Graham non-debate -- and (from my perspective) the overall tone of LDS apologetics..which is simply a combination of illogical positions, created by past and present leaders who overstated reality while in a position of power. these statements/doctrines today are being defended by very smart people to justify their relationship to a church..
she stopped listening to me when I made the comment - I would rather pick up a piece of soiled toilet paper from a public restroom floor, and stick it in my mouth, than justify or defend the belief that the Book of Mormon is a historical record of the ancient inhabitants of the American continent.
I'd like to throw him under a bus, or a train, or............ so would the majority of Idaho.
Yeah. Even the homophobic-closeted-anonymous-bathroom-sex-latent-homosexuals are turning their backs on him.

EEEEEWWWWW! Nasty visual! I think I would stop listening, too.
I just ate lunch. I'm not sure how long it will stay with me, now. LOL

I agree with you! I don't fly as much as I used to, but UGH! There is no way my hands are going to get near an airport bathroom floor!
