I'm sure the others feel the same when I say that coming from you, this is an amazing compliment.
Thank you.
Really.
Admittedly though, after I tore apart a chapter of
Doctrines of Salvation on the board about 7-8 months ago, I’ve slowly grown tired of speaking up because they usually become a long drawn out conversation that goes no where (and when people like Son are involved… it’s like a really bad acid trip). That, and I really don’t have the knowledge and intellect to successfully argue some of the science stuff. Reading posts by you and Tarski is the equivalent of taking college level courses (or reminiscent of the days when I would spend hours at the library reading various journals in order to compensate for my lack of formal education).
There’s also that strange twinge of hypocrisy I feel. Right as I begin to type up a post telling how ludicrous something about the “vibration of light,” etc., I realize that 3-4 days out of the week, I believe that there might be a G-d, that He might have spoken to some people, and Joseph Smith may have been one of those people.
In a way, it almost makes me feel like I’m worse than them for arguing against silly notions while at the same time tentatively embracing silly notions of my own.
