Well, I've noticed you guys speaking out on a regular basis, not only on MADB but at LDSforums as well. There's an evolution thread at LDSF that's just so sad it's hysterical.
In a way, it almost makes me feel like I’m worse than them for arguing against silly notions while at the same time tentatively embracing silly notions of my own.
I know that feeling! On another thread about Jehovah's Witnesses, I said I would have stayed LDS for another 5+ years if it hadn't been for all the JWs I met on my mission and afterwards. Arguing against their silly notions made me look closer at my own... and here I am today, no longer a believer. Good luck Dr. Steuss.

A.I. - I just want to say that I think you have a great deal of integrity, and have always thought so.
I do understand why more Mormons don't post here. There are posters here that are so aggressive and rude that *I* can barely tolerate them.
But, like you, I'm not ready to give up on boards yet, so tolerate this problem. I also realize it's probably insoluble.
Aside from that, I think you are also correct to state that David simply should not have engaged Kevin at all, if he were not willing to do so in a forum that allowed Kevin to respond.
Anyone else notice how many times David repeated that he wasn't interested in engaging Kevin, in between all the engaging of Kevin? (engaging, of course, without the other person having a chance to respond)
But I'm not convinced that the mods recognize their error. I think that there are mods who are too, well, *passionate* about their feelings towards certain individuals to be able to step outside their emotions and recognize their own mistakes.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
why me wrote:The second part of your post was interesting. Do you really think that MAAD moderators would ban you for speaking your mind. I doubt it. The LDS posters at MAAD are valued and no LDS poster would get banned for being critical of certain policies or voicing them. For example, Trashcan should perhaps be reinstated but he or she also crossed the line when he or she ignored the warning. Perhaps David can speak on trashcan's behalf.
I think you're right. LDS posters wouldn't be banned for questioning the moderators or their policies. Critics would, though.
This is incorrect, as written. It should say "certain uncritical LDS posters... etc. etc." because I am LDS and I am banned (and not for questioning their policies. I'm banned because I caught Juliann in a lie and I wouldn't let her wiggle out of it).
And one more thing: I doubt if Trashcanman is banned for long. As long as he kisses enough mod feet (I said FEET) at MAD, he'll be reinstated in a flash.

TCM won't kiss mod feet. And I doubt he has any desire to be reinstated there.

It's ok. It didn't hurt.
You're now one of the hated, TCM. The only way to alleviate that situation is to seriously kiss some Juliann ass. There's still time, if you're inclined to pucker up. If you aren't, consider this your last warning about the slippery slope you're about to embark on. Next thing ya know, you'll be wearing an "I was banned from MAD" button and sneaking peeks at KA's profile and laughing at Merc's humor (even when he's not being funny) and thirsting after a Pepsi, straight up! Think carefully. We're the untouchables here.
Okay, now that that's out of the way... welcome to the banned club!

I think why me is offering a 12 step recovery program for banned MADB ex-members. I'm sure there would be some instruction on puckering up and kissing ass.
And welcome TrashCanMan.
I think it would be morally right to lie about your religion to edit the article favorably. bcspace
Hmmm...I have to disagree with a couple of things here. I was banned from MAD and then unbanned my own self. I do not now nor have I ever kissed Juliann's ass or any mod ass.
And welcome, TCM!
