Jason, I agree with you. If Mitt did receive the nomination the right would no doubt vote for him over a Democrat. Or they might just stay home.
If Hillary gets the nomination Satan himself could be on the Republican ticket and Republicans would come out in droves to vote for the king of darkness.
I'm very interested to see how this all plays out.
I live in the Midwest and my experience is that the average person knows very little about the LDS church. People usually know it has something to do with polygamy and that's about it. They know enough to ask how many moms I had but nothing else.
The whole United States would get educated on it pretty quickly, I would imagine, if Mitt becomes the Republican Candidate. The good, bad and ugly of it. It will change the church, I imagine. The temple ceremonies might still be sacred but no longer secret. It could even erase the lines of what is "anti-Mormon" since Joseph Smith's story might become common knowledge to church members and non-members alike.
Insert ironic quote from fellow board member here.
If Hillary DOES get elected, it's going to be scary. Hopefully, her proposed required paid Family Medical Leave Act won't get past the senate.
If it does, watch out, corporate America, and be fearful for your jobs!
She is proposing that any company with 25 employees are more is going to be required to offer health insurance and 12 weeks of paid Family Medical Leave to its' employees.
Guess how small businesses are going to waltz around this one, folks? If they have 25 employees, they're going to lay off one!
Larger businesses will balance this move with pay cuts and a further decrease in benefits.
I'm not a fan of Romney's. I'm a Guiliani fan....BUT....Romney was spot on in the Republican debate the other night when he stated that "Hillary Clinton has no business running a country when she's never even run a corner store."
