All kinds of errors.
If this is allowed into the debate every one of Nibley's should be allowed in to.....along with a ton of Faith Promoting Rumors.

The best evidence that Jonah was a zombie when he came out of the whale is that he was in its belly for three days. I heard this indicates he'd be mostly digested.
If you're actually using background details from the biblical birth story to back up your argument, then we're obviously coming from two different planets. Even the details within the Bible itself contradict each other.

That's right. Much of the mythical lore surrounding Christ comes directly from the pagans. That's the whole point. If you're trying to propagate a myth, you might as well give it features that appeal to your target audience.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

Since the LDS believe the Gospel in a pure form was disseminated among all people we EXPECT correlations. Lots of them.
Then again, if you're right I'd better go tell God he's a sun god. I think he has the right to know.

LOL
Wow... this is why I come here. You can't buy this kind of entertainment.
Nobody can rationalize like a religious person. Amazing!

Hmmm... I wonder if the sun really is conscious. If so, I imagine he already knows what he is.

Huh?
Could you name one error and back it up?
The obsession with December 25th.....in many cultures it was several days earlier. It's the solstice. Christianity got Christmas because of the solstice not an actual birth date. Many of the pagan gods he mentioned never did many of the things he said. I assert that he was horribly misinformed. I have neither the time nor the disposition to re-research this because someone put up a video on YouTube.
Christ's coming was the fulfillment of Pagan myth almost as much as he fulfilled Jewish Law. For years they'd told stories of a dead but living God. Then one shows up.

Christian apologetic discussion boards have tackled this section from Zeitgeist many times.. for the traditional believing Christian the unfortunate reality is the events described in the clip have no viable refutation - and the apologists generally use justification and mind bending gymnastics to make the argument go away - or they simply fall back on the "I'm not that interested in this subject " position - quite lame indeed
the simple fact is -- there are many Christ-Like archetypes throughout recorded history. cultures with Roman origins focus on only one these figures - knowing the history of the crusades, the inquisitions - and all of the wars fought over god, the millions of people who have died because they did not believe in the correct "god" or the right "Christ" once these myths are understood within the culture they originate and in correct context, the details paint a picture that opens the door to a once sheltered mind.. in my humble opinion--

Of course not. Why work on something if the inevitable end result is a painful truth?
The lazy part of me totally understands.

I would only hope you have done the research to back up this statement, and not relied upon very flawed Christian apologetics.. Yes, there are quite a few questionable points made. and possible even a few unknowns stated as facts - not unlike Nibley - but the core of the message has no argument - modern Christianity is based entirely on ancient mythology - weather you trace it back to Greek/Coptic or Egyptian the facts are the facts -

I actually had a few questions about certain aspects of the video too, but the evidence is overwhelming.
