Thanks everyone and especially to the good Doctor, a heartfelt thank you.
I guess the board can throw away its diapers now, huh? We'll all just stick to kitty litter.
Ahhh! What a freeing feeling to take those off!
I'm not cleaning the box!
Why not? It has got to be better than cleaning diapers. Oh wait! They have those throw away kind now. I forgot. Well, someone on the board here I'm sure would like to. Maybe one of the newcomers to get the feel for things here. :)

Perhaps I am naïve, or merely too idealistic, but I believe that Mormon Discussions is genuinely a bright light in the world of online LDS chat. This really has become a nexus for legitimate back-and-forth. I mean, hey, let's face it, we have been immortalized in the annals of FARMS Review---stuff we said on these very pages was (improperly and unethically) lifted and utilized by the Great Professor Daniel C. Peterson in order to pad out an article of his. Mormon Discussions was a great refuge for those of us who wanted to discuss the more controversial aspects of Mormonism, but had been ejected from the ironically named FAIRboard, or, subsequently, the aptly named MADboard. I don't think we can really underestimate the powerful and positive effect that this board has had on online Mormonism. It really is a credit to the genius and fair-mindedness of Dr. Shades and all of his collaborators.
So: Three Cheers for Mormon Discussions! And, of course, Happy Birthday!

Wow, Mister Scratch, THANKS!
Of course I'm biased, but I truly think this is the single best LDS forum out there, for two reasons:
There's something for everyone. Due to the three-tiered "Kingdoms," anyone can obtain whatever content one wishes. It also ensures that no one will be (outright) censored on the altar of another's sensibilities.
We allow cross-posting. Anyone who has been banned or had content deleted on any other website no longer has to just accept that his or her input has been lost to cyberspace; he or she can just bring it here where it will be safe.
If I do say so myself, Keene and I have striven mightily to avoid the formation of a board "elite." No poster is protected any more or any less than any other. Hopefully everyone feels that no one poster is any more or less welcome than any other, either, so people of any persuasion can participate here without fear (of the moderators, at least).
Thanks again to everyone who participates here, no matter what your religious opinions are, since it's the board's content that makes it what it is.
