A reason I'm an Optimist

Post by _Roger Morrison »

I just had to post this! After finishing on the other thread re Optimists and Pessimists, i returned to my mail box to find the pasted-below note from MY grandaughter, who is studying in NZ.

Her name is Skye. So appropriately named! Bright, shining, clear and endlessly, eternally optimistic. Runs in the family :-) With Grand Kids like this, how could i not be optimistic. Most blessed and lucky guy i know! I delight in sharing this with my friends here. Warm regards, Roger

Good Morning all of my most dearly loved!
I just wanted to send a quick email to tell you all I have successfully finished my fifth half marathon run.
I woke up this morning with the Auckland City lights reflecting off the darkened ocean waves, the sun still hours away from it's happy horizon. I took the ferry across the water onto the North Shore called Devonport and ran my little legs until they gracefully crossed that bright shining silver scaffold where the minutes ticked away, and in those moments I stole the seconds with my motion! Impossible is Nothing!
Thank you to all of my family and friends who help me and support me across all of the finsh lines in my life!
All my Love and Respect goes out to you!
Ain't nothing gonna hold me down, oh no! I've got to keep on movin'....
Missing you,
Skye xo

Thanks for your time. Love to each of you. Roger

I've felt and said often, If I had known how much fun grandkids were, I would have had them first.

Thanks, Roger.

Thanks, Roger.

She is a beauty. You are a blessed grandpa!
I detest my loose style and my libertine sentiments. I thank God, who has removed from my eyes the veil...

She chose a great place to study! Auckland on a good day is magic.
