Along the same lines, yesterday during priesthood, the exiting Elder's Quorum teacher gave a lesson about obedience to the gospel and church authorities. He said (quoting some president) that rationalizing what is taught is dangerous and wrong, and one should just accept it and do what it says. Total brainwashing, and it steams me that they try to teach that in the church. Here were all these guys around me just nodding their heads saying, "yes yes... we will drink the red coolaid," all the time, missing the idea that GUESS WHAT!!! Blind obedience does not mean to toss rationalization to the wind. Even Joseph Smith said himself, "it is impossible for a man to be saved by ignorance." (D&C 131:6).
