Liz's sig line

Post by _Gazelam »

Liz just created a new sig line out of a conversation between Jersey and I

"Gaz:What does your gut tell you?
Jersey Girl:My gut tells me that if humans were able to develop the kind of self control that it takes to be a god, there would have been no need for a Savior." Gaz & Jersey Girl, MDB, 10/29/07.

The key word there would be develop. As in, mistakes are made and there is a process of refinement.

Mistakes in terms of gospel living = sin.

Hence a need for a Savior.

Maybe a better phrasing would be, "If humans were able to develop the kind of self control that it takes to be a God on their own, there would be no need for a Savior."

Jersey Girl can correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how I was interpreting what she said.

And, frankly, I liked her thoughts. I think that we all get caught up in our own egos, and don't focus on the fact that none of us will make it without the Savior's help.
