To be fair to Ray A, at least he got the date of D-Day correct. So at the very least he has some of his fact straight.

Yeah but, the parallel---a non-mormon valorizing Mormonism, a non-US citizen valorizing America---is striking. Can Ray only idolize that which he is not a part of?
He also presumably didn't land at Normandy...

I feel bad for Ray. I've watched him over many years, and he seems every bit as troubled now as when I first met him. I tried naïvely to help him, but he turned on me earlier this year because I said his comparison of exmos to Nazis was over the top. Suddenly I became a hateful exmo who put on a false face and spoke with a "smooth tongue." What I gather is that if you are an exmo who disagrees with Ray, you are inherently angry and evil.
How do you all know that this is really "Ray A."? After some of the stunts I've seen on message boards, I have to reserve a bit of skepticism that this is not really Ray but could just be someone on this board who's playing a little joke. Anyone can start a blog and also go on a message board and pretend they are "Ray"--or any of us for that matter. Especially if they stop posting on the blog...like they've gotten bored with the joke. Just have to wonder.......

Well if it's not Ray, I have to give a big BRAVO to whoever cloned his style. Certainly appears to be very Ray-ish.

I'm sure we've got some very talented people among us who could easily clone style.

That was a very charitable post, Alter Idem. Let's hope you're right for all our sakes ; )

Hi Blixa, when I first joined FAIR a couple of years ago, Ray A. was one poster who I really liked. He was articulate, interesting and because of his unique position (having been in the church and then out again, etc) his thinking was more complex on LDS issues. I also enjoyed his near-death experiences posts which were always fascinating.
Over the last couple of years, he's gotten more angry--especially when he posted here. I've often wondered what was going on in his life to explain the changes. Anyway, for his sake as well, I have to hope this blog isn't him.
