Reflections on a Year of Mr. Scratch's Blog
Well, well, has it really been a whole year? My, how the time flies! It seems just yesterday that Dr. Shades had gotten this board back up and running, and, lo and behold!, he had included a blogging feature! Can I tell you it was difficult to contain my rancid glee over the prospect of getting to stick it to the Mopologists in blog format? No, I cannot. Let's just say that I could scarcely contain my elation.
Obviously, at first, it was the "Dossiers" which caught people's attention---in particular, the whole hullabaloo surrounding the dossiers of Pahoran and juliann, both of whom, for unexplainable reasons, objected to the use of their very well-known in real life names. The major-league whiners showed up in full force, including a rather "official"-sounding message from Mopologetic wonk and FAIR president John Lynch, in which he tried to dismiss any connection between FAIR and the LDS Church. In fact, it was shortly after his message that FAIR formally divested itself of the ironically named FAIRboard, which was subsequently reborn as the aptly named MADboard.
Who else? Of course, Dadof7 turned up to sanctimoniously whine about his entry, which he claimed had "offended" him, or hurt his feelings. (Gee, did you think about that when you were abusing your mod authority, Nomos?) Then were the mysterious "supporters" of Will Schryver, who showed up to contest every minor little piddling critique of LDS Apologia's reigning laughingstock. Most noteworthy of these was the decidedly unpleasant "Opie Rockwell," who accused me of having a "modest" endowment with no friends.
It was, really, the dossiers that reigned supreme---the poster called "Sput" once went so far as to say that they were "harassment," and they remain in somewhat high demand to this day, though the number of noteworthy posters has, for the most part, dwindled away, since all of the really good folks have already been immortalized in dossier form. On one other instance, one posted claimed to love the "mugshot" of DCP, which adorns several of the blog entries dealing with the man known to us all as "The Good Professor," whom, despite all his flaws and foibles, we will continue to love, and to ridicule.
So: to all you supporters and haters out there, three cheers! It has been a fun journey! And, of course, happy Halloween!

Frankly (not that I'm French), I've quite enjoyed the dossiers though I don't necessarily agree with all that is said in them. If someone else wants to take the time for such complicated and imaginative humor, I say let them have at it.
And thanks for putting mine in there too. I'm not much of a target (I think) and therefore had to ask for the honor.

Yes, they will continue. The trouble is that I have pretty nearly run out of interesting Mopologists to write about. Perhaps, since it has been a full year, I should restore juliann and Pahoran's well-known in real life names to the blog? What do you think?

CONGRATULATIONS on the first successful year! Mister Scratch's Guide to Mopologetics has been a joy to read from the very beginning.
Please, NO!

"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Okay, yeah.... I could do some of those, I reckon. (I'm sort of amazed that I never got around to doing Selek---he's crucial.) I think I will have to pass the buck on Katherine the Great, however. She uses her in real life photo for her avatar (I think), and so that has always put me off as far as her dossier is concerned. It just seems too creepy....

Never stopped you from posting Dr. Peterson's dossier.
That's General Leo. He could be my friend if he weren't my enemy.
