After Gad shared the depth of Ray's violent rhetoric, it occurs to me that one reason Ray may be so determined to assign hate and violent wishful thinking upon "angry exmormons" is an attempt to absolve himself, in a way. He engaged in this behavior as an "angry exmormon", so it is the state of "angry exmormonism", that is the problem, and not something within Ray himself.
Are you really this slow? Every human being has the potential for violence. You point the finger at me alone, yet look at your angry thread at Crocket. You raved on like a bawling hen. I laughed at the irony! You sounded like - Me. LOL. A moment of madness, beastie? I don't have any less of a "problem" than you do. You finally broke, just like I did after being "the calm poster" after months and months on this board.
I am not trying to absolve myself of anything. When I was banned from ZLMB I had still been occasionally attending Church, and the last time I attended Church was in late 2004, 18 months after I was banned from Z. I had many missionaries over, even during that time. My beef was with ZLMB, not the missionaries, or even the Church. You would also know that I wrote long defences of the Book of Mormon, and expressed my feelings about it, on Z. That baffled the exmos there. Not even my then tiffs with Dan Peterson could stop my spiritual belief in the Book of Mormon, nor did it stop me expressing how I felt about it. Scratch in his selective reading never mentioned THIS.
There are some angry, and former angry exmos I actually like. I like Nort, and I like Sam, yet they have two angry websites (though Nort apparently no longer updates his). I have criticised both of them. I think Nort is (or was), like me, a "total nutcase" (to use Bond's phrase). Bond never points this out, because maybe he doesn't know Sam or Nort. YOU never called them on
their nutty behaviour, nor has Bond, and they are no different than I am. Nor has Scratch looked at them. Gad has never called them on their nutty behaviour, as far as I know, either. The real reason I am called is because I have what neither of them do - a remaining spiritual belief in the Book of Mormon. This immediately puts me on the "wrong side of the fence". So go visit Sam's website beastie, and let's hear your criticisms:
http://mormontruth.blogspot.com/Both Infymus and Mercury have criticised Sam. Infymus thinks Sam is a "sick man", but don't read what he (Infymus) wrote Dan Peterson in anger, which had to be censored on SHIELDS when it was republished. The anger just oozed out. Nay, it poured out. Care to psychoanalyse them, beastie? Oh no, you will never do that, because they are "true exmos"! I'm not! One thing some angry exmos have very much in common with me is their dislike of the way RFM is run, and the dictatorial way it is run. They have also all pretty much said the same things about Steve Benson that I have. Have a look at Sam's criticisms of Benson on his blog. He has written far more criticism of Benson than I ever have.
Read here what Sam wrote about RFM:
http://mormontruth.blogspot.com/2005/10/simon-southertons-opinion-of-newsweek.htmlNow, over on the "RFM" board, people pretty much let Simon have it and frankly, that pissed me off. Simon has done so much for so many of us by writing his book, "Losing a Lost Tribe" proving that there is no DNA link between the Native Americans and Israelites but instead that they are related to Asians through extensive DNA studies. I thought the criticism of him for his views of the Newsweek article by Elise Soukup was unwarranted and ridiculous!! The very fact that he even shared personal email interaction that he had with Elise, was admirable to say the least. Simon simply expressed what he felt and got destroyed for it, by a bunch of rabid dogs that only wanted one thing from Elise, a massive, anger ridden, anti-Mormon tell all article about the Mormon Church.
Obviously these people that feel that way,are up in the night and must be smoking something in my opinion. It isn't even a realistic opinion in any way, shape or form!! It's absurd!! Anyway, I was gonna post my response over on the RFM board, but the Simon thread is closed, so I'm just gonna post it here instead. I don't frankly care who I offend or piss off by coming to the defense of Simon and agreeing with him 100%. Simon doesn't need me to defend him nor have I ever personally spoken with him, but I already felt the same way Simon did and had already done my analysis of the article when I saw what Simon had written. Anyway, here were my thoughts regarding Simon's opinions on the Newsweek article and Elise plus my thoughts about those that think we have a screw loose for even liking the article a little bit.(My emphasis)
Have YOU criticised Sam? He is saying basically the
same thing I have been saying, about "rabid, angry exmos". No, you have
nothing to say about Sam. At least these bunch of exmos have the guts to tell it like it is about RFM, the truth about RFM, which I had been saying since 2002!! In this regard, you are stale bread, beastie. Your criticisms are tame. The only thing you really want to criticise is Mormonism! And don't come with what you said about Benson, it's tame. Forget about Crocket, let's see you get angry with Benson. It will never happen, because Benson is an exmo, and you are weak. I aready gave my criticisms on ZLMB in 2003, and since then my perepectives have changed. You, Scratch, Gad, and others want to go digging up old stuff nearly five years old. Why? Because I changed my perspectives, and YOU don't like it! Any defence of Mormonism will bring out your cat-paws, but you leave all of your exmo mates virtually untouched! Way to go. Scratch could be employed for years if he were to comment on some exmo rantings, but he too is
only interested in bashing Mormonism.
I have criticised everyone, on both sides, at some stage.
So don't give me your amateur psycho-analysis while totally ignoring the "nutcases" on your OWN side! Your WHOLE intention is to try to discredit me, and you have
nothing to say about "a bunch of rabid dogs" on your own side of the fence.
