Salt Lake Trib changes Book of Mormon THIS JUST IN
One moment in annihilation's waste,
one moment, of the well of life to taste-
The stars are setting and the caravan
starts for the dawn of nothing; Oh, make haste!
-Omar Khayaam
*Be on the lookout for the forthcoming album from Jiminy Finn and the Moneydiggers.*

haha. We posted our threads at the exact same time. And I asked the mods to move the posts in my thread, and delete it.
And FYI, it wasn't merely a 'doubleday' change, it was an LDS church official change.

WK: "Joseph Smith asserted that the Book of Mormon peoples were the original inhabitants of the americas"
Will Schryver: "No, he didn’t." 3/19/08
Still waiting for Will to back this up...

I called it the Doubleday change because it is the Doubleday edition. As the article points out (as well as many people at MAD) the Church had its hand in it.
THIS JUST OUT!
THIS JUST OUT!

In case you missed this part of the article:
LDS leaders instructed Doubleday to make the change, said senior editor Andrew Corbin, so it "would be in accordance with future editions the church is printing.
