As someone who has never had a cavity in her life and scalds her skin to be super duper clean (compulsive!?) I'm feeling mighty fresh, extra frosty, and lickable right about now!

:D

See, I'm back. Did anyone believe me when I said I wouldn't return? Hope not!

You like being a moderate dissenter, don't you? Both here and there.

You are alright, LOAP. I solemnly swear never to resort to calling you Ass On a Plate. :)

I think engaging in name-calling with friends is kind of fun sometimes, but with strangers it appears to be quite lame and juvenile. If "ass on a plate" is hilarious, I need to get a new sense of humor. One that involves asses on plates.

Licked cupcake indeed. Very, very seriously the lessons should be aimed at the Lord knowing our sins no more. NO MORE - if that is indeed what the church teaches. This was not my personal understanding of the atonement as an active member and is obviously not the understanding of those I've mentioned here. I don't know that one really ever is absolved of sexual sin in the church. This is not my understanding based on my own experiences. Missionaries that are not able to serve if they've had sex, having to confess one's sins to more than one Bishop along the way and so forth. It's not good enough to talk repentance if you don't show it as well.

How about sex not even being included as a sin?

All in favor vote "aye"!

Sex isn't a sin. Fornication and adultery are sins.

You earned your nickname for being a jerk and saying I'd misrepresented things, when I hadn't. You said my credibility was taking hits because I confused the dirty salad lesson with the dirty peppermint lesson, for God's sake. That's not misrepresenting things for the purpose of stacking the deck, of which you wrongfully accused me.

Also, I've seen you be quite nasty on MAD. I've even said to myself, "Gee, that LOaP is an ass!" So, when you behaved like one to me, I started calling you one.

KA, do you believe "returning in kind" is anywhere near the pinnacle of maturity or kindness or level-headedness?

Actually, I didn't return in kind. Returning in kind would have meant I wrongfully accused you of misrepresenting something and of stacking the deck, knowing full well it wasn't true, just to further my own position. That's what you did to me.

I've sure been treated with kindness, maturity and level-headedness by your buddies over on the MAD board, haven't I? You know, those same folks you told my credibility was taking hits?

I also told them you were nice. I guess you missed that post. Maybe I should have, too. ;)

You're misrepresenting again. I just went back and checked the thread in question and you didn't say I was nice. You said I was "very nice to my friends on the other board" (emphasis mine). There's a big difference. Sounds to me you were implying I wasn't nice there, but was nice on the board which contains mostly former Mormons. In fact, that's what a poster mentioned subsequent to your comments. That I was only nice to ex-Mormons. I didn't see you jumping in to correct him. Who's the one here misrepresenting to stack the deck, Ass-Handed-to-Him-on-a-Plate?

And how dare you presume to lecture me on the evils of returning rudeness for rudeness. It's quite easy for you to do when you're the one who was rude first, isn't it? Good grief! Insulting someone and wrongfully and knowingly accusing them of misrepresentation that damages their credibility is bad enough, but later chastising them when they react to the insults is outrageous!

You were wrong when you implied the offensive object lessons were relatively rare. They weren't. You were wrong when you claimed I was guilty of misrepresentation in order to "stack the deck". I wasn't. You misrepresented what you wrote about me on the MAD board. You claim you said I was nice. You didn't. What you really said was that I was very nice to my friends on the other board. There's a difference, and you know it.

Seriously, you have some nerve!
