That's not a good object lesson because I would assume that any LDS on a real plane like that would be praying and repenting pretty hard as the plane went down.

Does anyone remember the story in the manual with the mom who gave her ears to his son? He was born without ears and no prosthetics would work and they found a donor for him and he found out later the donor was his mom?

My sister and I were taking Anatomy/Physiology at BYU in the early 90's. My sister, one night while we were studying, said "You remember that story about the boy born without ears? That was total crap!"

OMG, I'm laughing! Can you imagine a little baby head with big adult ears attached? LOL

Yes....everytime I look in the mirror.

One of the points brought home was that there is no death bed repentance.

We all should have thought about that before we got on the plane.

Ouch, man! come on
One moment in annihilation's waste,
one moment, of the well of life to taste-
The stars are setting and the caravan
starts for the dawn of nothing; Oh, make haste!

I have vague memories of doing this lesson.

I thought it was cool myself.
We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light. - Plato
