Monkey,

Thanks for posting Siouxsie Sioux, lots of fond high school memories there. I actually had a Creatures T-shirt I took with me on my mission to wear on my P days. (Preperation day/day off) She and Budgie are great, nice that they have stayed married all these years.

And this song reminds me of the summer after I got home from my mission. My brother Ross and I would lay out by the pool and listen to this album:

Ross's birthday was last week. I still miss him a lot.

I'm sorry you have lost a loved one, too, monkeys.

My brothers and I saw Siouxsie and the Banshees at the Hollywood Palladium in 1986, a few weeks after I got home from my mission. Love and Rockets opened for them. Great show. The palladium is where they filmed the final concert scene in The Blues Brothers, and I believe it's also the location for Stop Making Sense.

I remember listening to this song and thinking that my best friend in the whole wide big ole world Dan would be that guy that would drive me home. :)

The Promise is one of the greatest songs ever recorded in my opinion. Always found my favorite girl at the church dance and grabbed her when they played this one.

Heres the real video, not the scary one that Monkeys posted : )

P.S. My wifes favorite band back then was OMD. Her cassette was worn out, so we got the CD, wore that out as well.
