Some of us on this board were privileged to know Peggy in real life. She was a gem, a dear friend, and she understood us sometimes when no one else did. She was a card carrying member of the Fringe. She wrote an essay about being a faithful unbeliever that is both wise and timely.
The essay is here, preserved for posterity: http://www.newordermormon.org/essays/fa ... ievers.cfm
Peggy is not here. She died the day before Thanksgiving from the cancer that had reoccured. With her passing, there is a hole in my life. My sincere condolences to her family. I wish I could attend her funeral. My thanks to Trinity for bringing her passing to my attention.

Peggy was a beautiful soul. Her family was blessed to have her as long as they did.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Did not know her but I have seen her posting. How sad. I will pray for her family.

For those who are interested, there is no funeral. Her obituary is here.
I will miss Peggy. She was a wonderfully insightful individual.
