Um. . . .MesoAmerica is on the North American continent.
Sorry for not being clear... you mentioned that Missouri is the Promised land, as if this is the Promised Land discussed in the Book of Mormon.
I'm wondering where YOU think the promised land spoken of in the Book of Mormon is. You say North America... are you meaning Mesoamerica or somewhere in the United States?
Do you think the blessings associated with the
Book of Mormon Promised Land are important for believing members?
Do you think it is important to know where this Promised Land is?

No, I didn't say Missouri is the Promised Land. I said, "Since the Restoration of the Gospel occurred here, and since Zion will be built in Missouri, I think the Promised Land is North America."
The Restoration of the Gospel occurred at Palymyra, New York, and Kirtland, Ohio, and Nauvoo, Illionois, and Salt Lake City, Utah, among other places.
So I think the Promised Land is the North Amercan continent. As I said.
I think the blessings associated with the Book of Mormon Promised Land is the Restoration of the Gospel. That is important for believing members, and non-believers whether they know it or not. But since the Gospel was restored and the Church established then the physical place is not all that important for members today. No matter where they live they can enjoy the blessings of the Gospel.
I don't think the latitude and longitude of the Promised Land is going to be on the Final Exam. So I guess it isn't that important, if we were ranking truths in order of importance.
