The mods over there do seem to be treading more lightly these days. I can't help but wonder whether the recent affair with Momus suddenly disappearing from their rosters has anything to do with it.
Maybe so. I just decided I was going to say what I wanted to say over there but do it politely. If they want me gone, they'll let me know.
But, yes, that whole Momus implosion was nuts: childish, cruel, and pointless.
I suspect their new policy is not to be so reactionary. I personally feel better about how things are going over there. For those here that post there, doesn't it seem more accepting and friendlier with less moderator interaction? Best to let that red screen ink stay in the emergency preparedness supplies.

I can't recall the last banning, probably Nephi; but his was self-imposed.
That's because we don't ban people here.
All the more reason to ban people.

They will? What makes you think they'll make an exception for you?

I meant to respond in that original thread, but did you notice that after Momus was, uh, "banned," they immediately hired a new moderator with a corresponding new double-layer sock puppet? Seems to me like they kept Momus on like nothing had happened but merely changed his moderator name in order to give people the false impression that they were doing something about him.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Yes, they'll let me know by banning me. I thought that was implicit.

That may well be true. It's hard to say. But it did seem like they were embarrassed by what happened.

I'm a moderator here, not on MA&D.

Maybe it was, but I interpreted your words to mean that they'll serve notice to via e-mail or PM that they no longer want you to participate. In other words, they'll "let you know" but not ban you (or perhaps "let you know" before banning you).

Heh. When have they ever done that? I didn't even get a warning when I was banned. If they were going to give someone a chance to leave voluntarily, it wouldn't be me.

Never. That's why your sentence "If they want me gone, they'll let me know" was so strange to me.

The last higher profile banning I saw was Zoidberg or Trashcanman (a month or so ago as I recall)
It's been a while but who's left to ban? (Shut up Bond! You'll be next (again!))
