There's no reason to believe that Christian fundies have any more respect for civil liberties, freedoms, or human dignity than Muslim fundies, despite the liberal traditions of the countries in which they are predominantly found, they just happen to be, thankfully, restained by the rule of law for the present.

I disagree. To say Evangelical fundamentalists would just as likely blow themselves up and kill everyone who left Christianity, is just a wild assertion based in nothing concrete. Christianity has never, even during the dark ages, implemented such a rule.

And after all, unlike Muslims, Christians do claim to be followers of Jesus, which should count for something I think. Jesus never condoned murdering anyone. Most Christians accept this without exception. Muhammad murdered his enemies and condeoned the rapes of their wives and he was damn proud of it. All religions are not equal my friend. Some really are more tolerant and intolerant than others.

I've not implied that Evangelicals would be as likely to blow themselves up. I've implied that they'd be as likely to restrict civil liberties and rights. The historical record on the ill-liberal tendencies of true believing Christians is abundant.
