Sometimes I think life-long LDS have no idea how their beliefs strike mainstream christians. Yes, upon analysis, mainstream christian beliefs are plenty weird, too, but they're such a part of the culture that no one notices how weird they are. The same cannot be said of Mormonism throughout the US.

Just wait till someone asks if LDS believe we can become gods.

Or that Joseph sent men on missions to marry their wives, or that he romped around in the barn with a 14 year old girl...

I agree with Seth entirely. It is hilarious to watch apologists try and spin something that doesn't even need to be spun. Charity is tying herself in knots working out the nomenclature. What the EV agenda is behind the accusation is unclear. I heard it a number of times on my mission, and the common source seemed to be a Chick pamphlet called "The visitors" where it's revealed (maybe quoting decker) but without any kind of explanation as to why that's shocking.

Charity, LOL, you've got to admit Jesus and Satan are brothers. sorry. If the brother relation is nullified by Jesus being "begotten" then he can't rightly be our "elder brother" as he's commonly referred to by LDS, can he?

Oh, by the way, and as I understand it, the Father LOVES Satan as much as he loves you or Jesus. That minister ought to look into that concept for the next time..
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.

LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

Wouldn't this then say that Satan is a fictional charactor???????????

Or am I just so daft that, that is what I depict from that?

Pirate.

Yes, you are daft. God is the father of all. ALL. EVERYONE. Satan included. Jesus if His Only Begotten. Satan is the opposite, not begotten. Not fictional.

Thank you, but isn't "God" fictional? Prove otherwise. Im tired blech. I am off to make a pot noodle. mmmm...

Wait. . .what's a pot noodle?

Here's a transcript from Glenn Beck's program tonight. Guess he's not too much interested in giving Huckabee the benefit of the doubt in this situation:

And here's an article stating that "Mormon texts do not cite such a belief."

A pot noodle is noodles in a pot. You pour kettle water in and stir and it is ready. I am eating a "bombay bad boy" pot noodle. In my opinion it is the best.

Does Huckabee really want to into a "crazy beliefs" debate? He has gone on record that he believes the Bible is literal. If I was Mitt I would ask Huckabee "Do you really believe Noah lived to be 900 years old?" If Huckabee tries to redefine "year" as being some vague time period, then he doesn't really take the Bible literally. And if he doesn't really take it literally, he'll piss off his Bible thumping fans.

I would die a happy man if someone would provide an unedited live video stream of Mike Huckabee being asked questions about a literal Bible.
