Whenever I read anything by Ray, there's one word that enters my mind every time: desperate. He's got to be the most desperate posters I've ever seen.

Don't be fooled: Scratch has no degrees, which goes a long way in understanding Scratch's long standing use of a credentialist argument to poison the well in an argument against anyone who also (like me, for the present), has no advanced degrees.

Untrue. I have seen Scratch's degrees with my own eyes.

It was a very similar case -- in which he made a crude or obscene insult (on RfM, in that instance) and then lied about it, pretending that it had been posted not by him but by, umm, another "Mister Scratch" -- that was the proximate cause for Scratch's banning from the FAIR board. Now he's falsifying personal messages, trusting in the fact that, by the administrative nature of this board, his fraud is very unlikely to be proven against him.

Whether or not scratch lied (and I'm not convinced he did, since he's open about his other criticisms), I do find it strange that MAD bans people for behavior they engage in on other boards. Besides this example, they've openly admitted this in the past.

Actually, I've said that I am unsure if it was a bogus poster, or if you bungled your cut-and-paste, or whether you totally invented this message in order to smear me. (And by the way: it has become apparent that you lied about the contents of your "RfM" archive. After stating that you had posted the "entire contents" of this little "archive," you recently posted year-old stuff from RfM which was not listed in your original posting. So, what---did you have those filed away in a separate folder, or what?)

Well, I'm glad to see you back, Prof. P., after the butt-kicking I gave you the last time you were here. It seems you are very, very desperate to score a point. But let's look at this in perspective. Supposing I really did "falsify a message," how does that stack up against your track record? After all, you lied to and deceived many, many people over the course of thousands of posts on ZLMB and elsewhere, using your "FreeThinker" and "Logic Chopper" sockpuppets; you spearheaded a smear campaign in the pages of FARMS Review which contributed to the ruination of Mike Quinn's career; you rely on a probably bogus "2nd Michael Watson" letter. Do you really have much of an ethical foothold from which to cast judgments on the issue of honest? No; you don't.

By the way, I see you are still taunting Yme on the issue of FARMS academics. When you are ready to actually deal with the issues, I'll be waiting right here for you. In the meantime, don't you think you should tell all your toadies at MAD that you've been challenged on this issue, and yet you are too afraid to deal with the criticisms?

One, I think posting PMs (and cross-posting material from other websites) is childish and in some cases can violate actual law (PMs have an expectancy of privacy. Posting them publicly can hit some nasty rules).

Two, we as LDS do need to avoid things like "pathetic human being". It does ultimately lower ourselves below that of Christ.
