Do you consider all self-identified victims as crybabies, or do you reserve that disdain just for ex-mos?

Do you follow the idea that the church is always blameless and the self-identified victims are always to blame? or are you able to see how those self-identified victims may view the church as culpable? Are you the snake or the guy who got bitten while trying to help the snake?

You are assuming a lot of things about me. I have my own doubts, but I don't seek to tear down the faith of others. Arguing facts about apologetics and such is one thing, and probably even necessary, but all this emotional stuff is just silly. Some of you guys are acting like you have escaped some barbaric cult or something. I've seen Muslim men on my mission repeatedly beat their wives in front of their kids. Talk about a cult. That crap is perfectly acceptable in their faith and culture, and anybody who tells me different is either ignorant or full of crap. Be grateful you weren't born in that. Be grateful that you WERE born a Mormon, so you can complain about it and not get stabbed in an honor killing.

If you feel wronged in life, at some point you have to just get over it and move on. Else, you are just feeding rage, and that's not good. Relax.

I don't have disdain for ex-mos. EV's actually annoy me though. Some Ex-mos come across as people crying out for help. I can't hate them for that.

It might help a bit if you understand your audience a bit more: I am a convert, not BIC. I was raised a Baptist and my family is still Baptist, so I know a bit about EVs. I am an active, temple married, TRI holding, multiple calling holding member (this fact annoys DCP and his friends no end). I was not referring to myself, so I have nothing to "get over". I am a woman who joined as an adult; I did not serve a mission. I have 6 sons and 2 daughters, 4 sons served missions. Six are married, 4 of them in the temple. After 37 years in the church, I know a bit about it.

Well, I guess we are assuming too much, the both of us. I've been a member since I was 17. Served a mission. Now I'm 32. I know a lot about the church, too. Which is why I don't buy all this emotional crap. The church just isn't that bad. There are faults, sure, but I see way more good than bad. This victim mentality is so acceptable in our modern culture. It's also twisted when people start identifying more with the murderer than the murder victims.
