I think somebody besides jskains needs some help.
Have you watched the video, Charity?
You're trained in psychology, and know perfectly well that it's not an "insult" to suggest that someone needs professional help. Josh has been told this on numerous boards, from LDS and non-LDS alike.
The video confirms it. This has nothing to do with whether or not he has a legitimate beef with either board.
The road is beautiful, treacherous, and full of twists and turns.

Yes, I watched the video.
There is nothing on the video to indicate a person needs help. Except maybe some training in videography. If you see his little speech as indications of mental illness because he is criticizing the position of many of the people on this board, then the main problem is projection on your part. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean you need help. But if it gets too much worse, then you could use a few sessions.

Clearly, if someone thought that Josh was mentally ill because he was "criticizing the position of many of the people of the board," there would be a lot more calls for professional help here.
As someone with (apparently limited) training in psychology, you're simply embarrassing yourself. A medical professional would disagree with you.
Josh is in need of professional help, and you're going to dance around it because you don't happen to like or agree with the people suggesting it? He's been told the same by friends and associates of yours who don't happen to disagree with you philosophically.

Well, maybe the behavior that has prompted people, in the past, to encourage Josh to get help was all part of his "pretending some things".
All I can say is: people are weird, and the internet never fails to provide startling examples of that.
by the way, I'm not very familiar with youtube. Is this what it consists of? People turning their video cameras on themselves and blathering on about something hardly anyone cares a thing about?
I mean, really. If Josh wanted to say these things to people on MDB, then why not just say it? What is this need to make some sort of video of yourself going on about it?
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
It has come to my attention, via one of my "tipsters," that Mr. Skains used to run a website called "needahappyhome.com", which is now defunct. The purpose of this website, apparently, was to solicit donations so that Skains and his wife could life in a million-dollar home somewhere within the vicinity of La Jolla, CA. According to my source, Skains carried on at length about the misery of living in an apartment, and stated on his website that $500,000 homes in the area were "trash," and not good enough for him.

It should be noted that Josh is by his own admission suffering from depression. He says as much on his own website and even discusses possible linkages to his relatively newly diagnosed diabetes. He's clearly under medical treatment for the diabetes, whether or not he is for the depression.

Anyone can post anything they want on youtube. No charge. Some things are really great. "Little Boy On A Mission" is adorable. Donny Osmond and Jimmy Kimmel is hilarious. And then of course, there is Okay Go on treadmills.
But if you ever only see one youtube, you ought to see "Christmas Lights Gone Wild." A man timed a Christmas light display to music. If you drive by his house, you can see the lights, and if you turn on the car radio to a certian frequency, you hear the music. He doesn't blare the music to the neighbors. It is almost unbelievable. You ought to try it.

I do go to youtube when someone links it, and I did see Donny Osmond doing a background dance on something, and it was really, really funny. I can't remember if it was with Jimmy Kimmel or not. I'll have to see if I can find it again. I have to say I didn't care for his music when we were younger, but I admit I like Donny Osmond today. I think he combines a bit of self-mockery in his humor, and it's really funny. He also just seems like a really decent guy.
I'll try the Christmas lights one. I may be an atheist, but I love gawdy Christmas junk.

Then you will love this Christmas display. I think the Donny Osmond video you are referring to is a cameo appearance on a Weird Al Yankovic parody of Beat It.
