josh,

I see that you have posted again recently. Would it be asking too much for you to participate in this thread that you started? My first question was posted to you above.

Thanks,
LSD

It is rather hard with the ugly flame war. So far I am a suicidal, depressed, diabetic who is mentally ill because I posted a Video Blog on Youtube.

Hi josh,

I'm going to include my screen name that is recognizable to you until you get who I am.

I'd like you to first describe the "alternative lifestyle" that is homosexuality. What are the features of this "lifestyle"?

LSD

Basically the "lifestyle" issue comes down to saying "here is a legit method of living, hence we promote this as a viable alternative to the traditional heterosexual lifestyle". In my feeling, it should be handled in the same area as depression, sexual addiction, etc. etc. in a way that you say "this is how some people live, even if it isn't the optimal way".

I worry society is trying too hard to make everyone happy no matter what. Single motherhood is not a good method of raising kids. Statistically, it is shown that children in non-traditional households suffer more behavioral consequences than traditional ones. Now, I respect women who are forced into it and wish them luck, but I wouldn't promote it as a lifestyle people should persue.

I am sorry, but I don't believe homosexuality should be given a status to promote adoption, marriage, etc. etc. to a couple. That is just my theory. I am sorry others disagree, and I am sure I'll be attacked as a mentally ill violent psychopath in a few moments, but that is my feeling.

Josh,

Without meaning to minimize the current situation, let me just say having weathered my fair share of vicious flame wars (these involving you pale in comparision), I really don't give a damn about this one unless and until it involves me.

If you feel compelled to continue talking about yourself as a topic, there is little i would or can do to stop you. If you decide to resurrect this topic, I'll participate as I can.

See ya.

I think most homosexuals have a hard time living as heterosexuals. It's true that many do in fact mary the opposite-sex and reproduce, but this is often very difficult and problematic for them. It also leads to greater hardships for their children such that one might argue that it would have been better if they didn't try the heterosexual thing in the first place.

I am sorry, but I don't believe homosexuality should be given a status to promote adoption, marriage, etc. etc. to a couple.

I'm not sure it should be given a status either, but then my personal opinion is that the government should leave the word marriage up to churches and rather concern itself wholly with domestic relationships--even say that of a child taking care of an aged parent. Certainly I think heterosexual marriage is preferable to society for raising children. That said, I don't think that homosexual relationships will hinder such in any manner.

josh,

Do me a favor and try to avoid comments such as your last that will end up cluttering this thread with more useless banter. I'm just on the heels of a similiar time wasting situation and I'm rather sick of it. In any case, thanks for trying to get back on the horse here. I'm going to take this one small step at a time because as I just implied, I don't want to become involved in something that's going to devolve so will comment in small doses incase I want to withdraw without investing much time on it.

This lead in comment of yours:

Doesn't tell me much about what you think the features of the "lifestyle" or "method of living" actually are. Could you add more to that?

(It would not be unlikely for me to appear to shift position back and forth on this depending on what type of comments I'm replying to. For example, I might challenge religious based assertions and still appear to be posting in favor of homosexual rights by asking for clarity as I just did with you. Try to live with it if you can.)

Well, it was a pretty crappy video!
