If you're a psychopath, that's news to me.
The road is beautiful, treacherous, and full of twists and turns.

Heck, being lonely was news to me... And the wanting to be accepted part. What is weird is how off my psychosis was. I actually came to the board to take a break from my active lifestyle and take a small break from all the people I deal with... But I am apparently lonely. That's so weird.

I would advise Scratch to be a little more careful when it comes to answering PMs. I only answer PM's that are clearly friendly and emails have to make it clear the person is downright my buddy. It is a scary world, as DCP pointed out, and it's unbelievable with the risk of frivolous lawsuits and so on that some continue to mistake foolhardiness for great onymous bravery.
I would say based on the information, it's probably 40% chance Scratch is lying and 60% chance Ray is. I admit Scratch is my friend, but I'm willing to believe it's possible he has faults. It's interesting how at least one supporter of Ray in this just assumes without question or any evidence that Scratch is lying. If we could just isolate the activity to this one incident, I'd like -- merely out of curiosity -- to see who manipulated the emails. The only problem is, moderators are human too. And if they're going to go out of their way to hack the board in order to find the answer for something this trivial, then they now have the power for the future. Then we'll be turning to the mods in the future for public answers to private disputes. not sure I want to go down that path. and further, once the work has been done, then the mods (not saying the current ones will, but we're all human) could simply sometimes take a peek just for their own amusement.
After seeing what happened here, I agree that publicising PMs is a bad idea. Ray's behavior is transparent enough that publishing the PM was superfluous and apparently dangerous. I, however, see the odds in the reverse of Gadianton due to Ray's overt willingness to have an independent third party air the original conversation. The lesson here is to stay away from posting PMs. You can't air someone's PM and then talk about the sanctity of your PM box in the same breath.
That's like claiming an angel came and took the original document back to heaven where no one can analyze it. We are left with the testimony of those who saw the original--but were they using their "spiritual eyes" or not?

4. You are responsible for your actions. Don't pass the buck.
I know... Why are so many here passing the buck?

I can't say I disagree with this sentiment. Many here do remain victims in their relationship to the church. Yet I believe that of all the sites I have visited which discuss Mormonism, this one is the most fair. It could be better, which is why I voiced my opinion on the Mr. Scratch/Ray A PM fiasco. The existence of this site is not only very valuable, but necessary in a free speech society.
