The future of the Internet
Do you think the Internet will continue to survive and grow if it continues to be a vehicle for anti-mormon lies, or do you think the Lord will smite it down?
"We of this Church do not rely on any man-made statement concerning the nature of Deity. Our knowledge comes directly from the personal experience of Joseph Smith." - Gordon B. Hinckley

I love how Mormons constantly state "Anti-Mormon Lies", and yet never give exact examples of what are the lies.
What are the lies?
If we say the Mormon Corporation was a racist organization, we get called liars - yet we can provide hundreds of references as to how racist they really were. Then you get fanatics like Gaz, who tow the party line down to the very core - yes, those blacks didn't deserve *anything* until the ban was lifted. Society said it was OK, so it was OK for God and Mormon Inc. to do the same thing. Let's not talk about how there were dozens of lawsuits pending throughout the United States including several against prominent churches - who were going to loose their tax exempt status for denying rights to blacks. Lets not talk about all of the real issues surrounding the sudden lifting of the "BAN". Lets bury everything Spencer Kimball, Ezra Taft Benson, Bruce McConkie, Joseph Fielding Smith or even Brigham Young said about it. They were all uninspired. They were all speaking as men. And remember: It was OK to be racist, and that made it OK for the Mormon God to be racist and the Mormon people to be racist.
But to quote the Hinkster: That was the past, we go forward. Those were little flecks of history.
F*** you Gordon.
We "Anti-Mormons" state that Joseph Smith was a glass looker and that he hunted for buried treasure. We tell the real story about how Joe used a rock in a hat to (so called) “translate” the Book of Mormon – and we get called liars. Later, when Daniel C. Peterson states in a documentary on Mormonism that Joseph Smith indeed used a rock and a hat, where are the apologies? All of a sudden the mindset of the Mormon changes, ok, yeah, sure he did that, no big deal, everyone knew that – and in the words of DCP – that information was in your face the whole time and it’s your fault if you didn’t see it.
We point out the inconsistencies in Mormon Apologetic work. We are not afraid to look at all of the evidence and debate it out. We don't act like Daniel C. Peterson and write out 10,000 to 50,000 words that serve only to obfuscate, confuse, mislead and discredit.
I could go on and on.
If you are going to call us liars - specifically those you consider Anti-Mormons on this board - please provide evidence of the lies we have told.
Otherwise, quit spreading lies about us.

Because the producers of the documentary deliberately concealed the affiliations of the speakers, some (many?) members had no idea that DCP was a Mormon apologist - actually, I think that they had no idea who he was. A member of my ward was incensed that "these critics of the church were allowed to tell lies about Joseph Smith using a rock in a hat to translate the Book of Mormon". I didn't have the heart to tell her - she's over 80, a good friend, and a sweet lady, and I was afraid that the shock might have killed her.
