Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

I've just traced the Mormon Discussions genealogical records....and Sethbag is a direct decendant of the last MDB king (known as Shadius Rex I, no relation to Dr. Shades). There will be a crowning ceremony at 2 PM today, assuming of course I haven't decided to take a nap.

ALL HAIL KING SETHBAG I

Yeah, but at least this guy has a modicum of legitimacy. Joseph Smith never did.

Good to know the love of crowning yourself royalty is still popular. When I was in Britain I met 2 kings of Wales and 1 of Scotland. I thought about trying to claim the English Crown but it would require a civil war as my family line was deposed.

lol.

In the 16th century there was a guy in Munster who called himself King David, restored polygamy, and raised an army of Christian soldiers to conquer the world for Jesus. Joseph Smith was actually engaged in a pretty timeless project, I think.
