I often disagree with what Scratch does. I didn't like him republishing the gossip about the million dollar home. That said, I do commend Scratch for taking down your picture even though you continued to accuse him of being the one who sent threatening emails--and further that you said he more or less deserved to be accused and suspected for continuing to write such unflattering things about you.

Jskains, what precisely was the personal threat? From what I read you said that your online demeanor and activities were going to be outed to those you deal with in real life.

What is so horrific about that? Please, please, please just walk away!

I think your reaction, and the reactions of those responding to you, is not really helping the situation. I wish the guys of this board would give it a rest with the taunts. I mean, I hate to be ugly myself -- but what fun is it torturing and taunting someone that is having a meltdown on this board?

If you had been following, I had now three emails sent to my personal account that threatened several very dangerous things. Unfortunatly, they were smart enough to hide the email origins. It is a very serious thing and should not be mocked.

FYI, the local Sheriff's department says there really isn't enough to go on. And since looking at the logs, there isn't... The email can't trace.

Really? Your ISP's email server didn't get any SMTP server information like the host name or IP address when it received the email. I find that hard to believe. You're telling me the person at the Sheriff's office would dismiss a threat to a family in such a cavalier way? Again I find that hard to believe especially when it's relatively easy to find a person. Again assuming their not some 1337 hacker routing emails through a compromised zombie pc.
