moksha wrote:It is frustrating to realize how badly this thread got derailed with the sex stuff. Why couldn't a separate sex thread have been opened?
It started out as a reply to a comment on housecleaning/banning, and devolved from there. Sorry, lil penguin.
I actually had to stop following the thread, since it was fairly off-track and of little interest to me. Perhaps someone (I.e., a moderator) could spin the sex stuff into its own thread in an appropriate forum, so that we can once again discuss the subject at hand as it develops?
Frankly, I'm too lazy to go through 6 pages of thread and split it off since the sex talk is throughout the mix of the thread. I'm bound to get some comments split in the wrong category.
How about the posters monitor themselves and just turn the thread around back on topic?
Here's a starter question. Who ended up being banned from MAD? Anyone?
Scottie wrote:Great thread....LOVIN' the sex talk.
You guys know this is inhumanely cruel to do to Bond, Nehor and I, right???? What with all of our non-self imposed celibacy and all...
Bond and Nehor, isn't it just ironic that the best lovers (that would be us 3) are the ones without women to please???
You mean I'm not enough for you, Scottie?
I'm hurt. LOL
Sorry for the derail. I asked that a new thread be made... but then couldn't help myself when Coggies came in frothing and fuming about something.
Anyway, I hope no one is titillated by this "sex talk", I mean, it relates to the Church and I certainly do NOT talk about these issues with the intent of being provocative, I promise! It's just something that interests me, and how it manifests later on in life -- in marriages and elsewhere. Anywhoha. Sorry. I suppose, I should be less blunt. I'll work on that. Sorry. :(
I doubt there would be a list. There might be a thread about it, though. I just figured that if Bond or Runtu had been banned, we would have heard some sort of report by now.
When I get the energy, I'll tunnel over to MAD and have a peek. I'm a little tired at the moment....still recouping from the flu. :(
Hmmm....it looks like the bomb throwers thread has been closed. Juliann threatened Markk with banishment, but at least for the moment, he is still listed as a member.
Stuess has some cool things to say over there. Good job, Stuess!

Liz, the only ones I know for certain, in the latest reign of terror, are Mms and Severian (Moksha was also banned). Juliann had posted a poll in which the majority did not support the ban, but in the end, Juliann declared that if you counted only the good LDS, then the majority was in favor of banning the "Bomb Throwers". There were also LDS posters who did not agree with Juliann's decision.
There will undoubtedly be more posters lead up the steps to the MAD guillotine. Hopefully when that happens, they can find their way over to this forum.
Interestingly in the thread in which Juliann proposed more bannings, she pointed out that MAD was the most tolerant and least restrictive of the Mormon owned boards. I leave it to the reader to draw your own conclusion as to what that means in terms of having Mormons set editorial policies.
Well, I know of one other casuality. I had a hunch and went back and checked. And it proved to be right. When Juliann started the "should we throw out the bomb throwers" thread, she mentioned a post by Gadianton. Gadianton has since been banned--not at all surprising, as anyone reading her posts could have seen she wasn't going to last long.
Whether or not Juliann is a mod or has any real power on the board, she most certainly has influence.

The Gadianton over there was not really a female. :)

hmm...I didn't know this.
Gadianton was also posting on another thread about Jesus and Satan being brothers and a "Kenneth W." posted as well. Kenneth was banned after 50 posts. I think Juliann may have been thinking of posters like Kenneth and Gadianton with her bomb throwers thread.
