In Coggins' imagination, anything is possible.

As I wrote on another thread:
There is a hungarian saying: The zoo of God is huge.
There is place in it for such people, too ...
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco
- To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei

I had a ward mission leader on my mission who told me that a mission companion of his back in the day was one of those "I wear my garments 24/7" types who really meant it. He'd wear his garments in the shower, and when he needed to wash a particular body part, he'd pull back the garment just enough to gain access to that part, while leaving the garments on otherwise. When he got out of the shower he'd take one leg out of the wet garment, dry it, and put it into the leg hole of a new garment, then repeat with the other leg. He'd do the same with his arms. He was never completely out of his garments.

The ward mission leader told me this guy planned on having sex with his future wife that way too, ie: clothed in the garments of the holy priesthood.

So I don't know if Mark E. Petersen actually really said he'd never seen his wife naked or not. But I do know that it's plausible that he might have said that - such people do exist in this world. And remember, this is the same guy who wrote that "tie your arm to the bedpost" thing to prevent oneself whacking off at night.

If I recall correctly, all early Mormons were taught to bathe in that manner. And while I don't remember reading this, I would be surprised if they were NOT taught to keep them on during sex, too.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

And these people are who? You? Anyone else?

I see you turning many a discussion toward this subject. I don't see people lining up to engage you on it--perhaps because it moves the discussion from Mormonism to your conservative diatribes.

I've been married to my wife for 44 years, and never once have seen her body uncovered". Again there was silence. What a joke; implicit in his remarks was the idea that sex is ONLY for procreation, and the visual enjoyment of bodies is dirty, not beautiful.

Heh, this reminds me of a seminary teacher who used to tell all his students that sex was for procreation ONLY. He would tell everyone that He'd only had sex with his wife 4 times since they were married. Any guesses as to how many kids he had? ...MORON...

I've seen many of these leaders "wives" and I have sympathy with their plight. They probably take a shower after having sex too. There is a reason why pornography is such a huge problem in the church. Look at these women. Heber Kimball said he thought no more of taking another wife than he did of buying a cow. I'm sure many of these men consider sex with their wives much like sex with a cow.

Back off, Satan. You're only seeing them after they've had a million years (it feels like) of being married to a GA. And have you taken a look at the men? Hello? Not exactly Arnold, any of them. Don't call them cows. That's disrespectful, and after what those women have been through, they deserve respect. Not everyone spends every dollar and every minute trying to recapture their lost youth.

With many people I know, it takes more than one time to finally get pregnant. And even after getting pregnant, I know a few who miscarry before birth.
