Romney right or wrong? -Jesus to reign in ancient Jerusalem

I've seen a lot of debate on this subject even before Romney's statement on the matter. Many Mormons believe as Romney stated, many others believe Jesus will reign in the NEW JERUSALEM instead. What do you think?

If I recall correctly, Zion will be the political center and Jerusalem the spiritual center. But as to Jesus's new mailing address, I'm uncertain.

Asbestos beat me to it.

New Jerusalem = Government center

Old Jerusalem = Religious center

I voted for the latter. How can someone who did not live and can't return exist exactly? I question the existence of this man to begin with. If you were to ask me when I was TBM, I would have said Missouri.

So will HE live in some kind of worm hole to be in both centers simultaneously or something?

I'm sure the telephone, telegraph, or tell-a-woman will be invented by then for fast communication.

Why not both. I suspect the Missouri one is more of a summerhome.

I think we should let the 10th Article of Faith speak for itself:

10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.

The fact that the entire Bible (and vicariously, the Book of Mormon) is nothing more than allegorical, astro-theological literary fold hybrid means that Romney and anyone else who believes in the divine nature of these books is wrong.
