Not in Kansas anymore

Post by _karl61 »

(this was a response that I made on a thread but thought I would put it out and would appreciate your thoughts)

I was watching Hillary, her daughter and Bill Clinton yesterday on T.V. I was watching her waving and smiling to friends in the crowd. I thought that this is her surroundings for over a year and she is a movie star for the moment - It is at election night when they stand on the podiem do they start to experience reality. I think that is what LDS people start to feel like when facts start coming in and they find out they are not in Kansas anymore.

What "facts" do you think are going to come in? Archeologists dig up a site and find a stone monument that says, "There's no such thing as a Nephite?" LOL

I really am serious. What facts are you anticipating?

The fact is there is no evidence for the Book of Mormon.

Before you say that it is my job to "prove the Book of Mormon is wrong", let me remind you about this "fact": "You can't prove a negative".

You and other TBMs believe that the Book of Mormon and the Book of Abraham are real and contain stories about real people. If that is so, then there should be evidence that the Nephites and Lehites existed, correct? After all, they did find Troy and that was from a time way before Lehi, a person that there is no evidence existed either, even left.

Right on. Within the hour, there would be someone working on a Maxwell Institute paper to discredit the stone monument. You can always dig some up dirt around a stone monument.

The use of logic in your statements is so poor I am afraid to ask how much daddy bribed the school in order for you to get a degree.
