I have too much patience, I think.
Yes, you do! :-)
I'm with Liz; I think I would have smacked them by now!

I met them through the former friend. The former friend has become more fanatical over time. I think that he figured if he stayed friends with me, I'd reconvert. Once I made it clear that I would not (thought I would never seek to influence him), he started trying to censor me. He always acts like he's afraid that I'm going to strip naked and run around cursing around his LDS friends...many of who know me.
I used to think the couple's affection was cute. Now I've seen they're too into themselves to care for their child properly....that's sick.

Please?
ROFLMAO. And you know, if that were to actually happen, he'd probably do the more "predictable" thing than anyone else. He's so afraid of being human, it's sad.

LOL, on a side note, went to a friend's house Christmas day, and her new kitten pawed me on the boob. It was so funny. My friend's husband looks at the cat and goes, can you stop feeling her up, please?

Well Sami, it is nice to hear you are safe, sound and recuperating from your adventure. Good thing the baby is on the mend too. I suspect the new parents will get better over time. It is hard to teach new parents what they need to know is it not? Even harder to help them unlearn the desire to satisfy their own needs first. I suspect they can still benefit from your friendship as can the little one.

GIMR great to see you and your smiling face. Hope and pray for your health. Sorry for the situation, sad, I have to agree that you are the true blessing to that infant.

That kid is going to be messed up. You're not going to make your child a genius with her strategy. You're going to give it a nervous breakdown. Overstimulation not good. The results of this may lead to a child who picks up a lot of information but does a lot of harm to the 'well-adjusted' thing. At least according to my child psychologist friend.
My first thought is that it reminded me of a story, maybe even not true, maybe an urban legend, but the story was of two young parents that wanted their child to be born talented in some way. They had no musical talent between the two of them and they wanted to give the child something that they didn't have. So they were putting small speakers to the belly of the women and would play hours of classical music and opera singing daily. The story went that the baby was born deaf.
To me it just illustrates a severe case of selfish self-righteousness.
