I guess I'm the dissenting LDS. I don't believe that a person will be resurrected gorgeous and slim if they were fat and unattractive in this life. Especially if the fatness was because of their own out of control eating habits.
I think we are brought up as we were laid down(there's a Book of Mormon scripture to this effect, but I can't find it right now). Just doesn't seem right that a person can abuse or neglect their body and suffer no ill effects for it in the afterlife.

Nehor, how often have you heard members say they can't wait till they have a perfect body? I think it's very common among some LDS to think they will not be held responsible for their gluttonous behavior. To me, it's clear that they are in for a shock when they get to the other side.
THere are a lot of people who expect a celestial glory, but don't deserve a "celestial" body.

Well, it's all in the Bible and the Word of Wisdom. Considering how often we're told to read the Scriptures there's really no excuse. I still find it funny how people profess books were delivered by angels or revelation and then don't have more than a passing knowledge of them.

Many of the principles in the Word of Wisdom are not eternal. The gluttony one is.
The Word of Wisdom is like the Jewish dietary law. I think it's a law of carnal commandments. I've said before that if Jesus comes down at the Second Coming to hold a Sacrament Meeting he will probably bring wine. I secretly hope someone screams, "BLASPHEMER!!! when he does. That will be funny.
The Word of Wisdom (in my opinion) should be one of those laws that becomes dead to us as we become alive in Christ, though we follow it because of the commandments. It could go away tomorrow.
