Evolution doesn't preclude and foreclose acceptance of theism of any kind. Prior to the understanding of evolution, there was no way to understand the development of complex creatures without supernatural intervention, so evolution opened a window for many "god of the gaps" to actually become the atheists they would have always otherwise been (and were often labeled "deists").

That is a far different statement from asserting that evolution precludes and forecloses acceptance of theism of any kind.

You members could take a lesson from the apostate creator of this board. The idea of evolution is incompatable with the gospel. There was no death proir to the Fall of Adam. Therefore any changes that you wish to attribute to evolution happened withen that sphere of time, namely between Noah and us.

I’m skeptical of your comment way back there on page 1. (Sorry we don’t have a “thread” view which allows us to see comments directly under the post which they address.)

God notions are irrelevant to evolution.

In most respects, science, by its discoveries, discredits indirectly any ancient mythologies. Science seeks to explain and understand what, where, when, why, and how through research, information, discovery, and conclusions which are tentative based on the evidence.

God notions are irrelevant. No evidence has been established for God notions nor was any established previously for many gods. Of course few if any today defend the gods.

I seem to recall Dawkins saying that evolution makes God irrelavent or superfluous. I wish I could remember exactly what it was he said in his Delusion book, but whatever it was, it made me think that perhaps evolution and Mormonism (or indeed Christianity) are incompatible.
