Can't banned ex MADites use this to read that board?
It seems to me that folks banned from MAD could look at it from their library's computers. They can't block that can they?

I suppose if one was motivated enough, one could absolutely do it that way. In the alternative, there are ways to anonymize one's IP address and work one's way in.

You can proxy in and create new account to post and thus get around a suspension, banning, or IP banning from your regular computer.

Moderators have been known to block even read-access (based on IP address) if they are sufficiently peeved. Surely you must know this.

"proxy in"...is that the same thing as "tunneling in"? I know that has something to do with a proxy server but I've never used one and am curious about the terminology.

This is against the rules.

This is one good thing about having a dynamic IP address. You could simply reboot your modem and SHAAZAAM! New IP Address ready to go. Although then they could simply start blocking a range of IP addresses and that would suck for newbies in the same area/ISP.
I'd say using a proxy or piggybacking would be a lot more convenient than going to the library, etc.
Either way, I don't see the point...I mean even if you did do some work around to get in a comment or sorts they don't like, it will likely be deleted before many people read it and be a big waste of time. I'd suggest TRYING to abide by the rules and play the necessary word games if you want to participate there. If you don't like the games then of course go elsewhere. I was never chastised when I participated there, but I didn't really like the atmosphere with billions of rules and power hungry self-important mods either so I went elsewhere.
