Huh? My last post started out with
My issue is not polygamy per se (not that I think that it was a good thing).

In comparing Joseph to David you said David repented and Joseph Smith did not. I pointed out that David repented of murder and Joseph Smith did not do murder. So it was an inappropriate comparison.

In comparing Joseph to David you said David repented and Joseph Smith did not. I pointed out that David repented of murder and Joseph Smith did not do murder. So it was an inappropriate comparison.
I wrote that
My issue is not polygamy per se (not that I think that it was a good thing). It is

1) His repeated lies about it.

2) His stealing other men's wives.

3) His threatening young women if they refused to marry him.

4) His violating the restrictions in Lev 18. Joseph Smith did not obey even God's Old Testament restrictions on polygamy.

Do you think that these actions are sinful? I do and there is no evidence that Joseph Smith repented of them.
