Has the smilie thing presented a problem at MAD? I read there occasionally, and haven't noticed that it has. Why would it be any different here?

No. Shade's is just anti-Smilieism (as opposed to anti-Smilie).

I've pleaded, begged, offered enticing payments of one kind and another, all to no avail!

The ignore function would be nice! ;-)

And a spell checker would come in handy for those of us who type fast, have fingers that work on their own, can't spell, or forget to proof read our posts. Not that this would apply to me or anything... (smile).

Just use Firefox. The current version automatically spell checks stuff you put into fields. I find it terribly useful. And Firefox rocks.

I recently went to Firefox and like the spell check feature, too. I discovered a couple days ago that alternate spellings are offered by right-clicking the underlined, misspelled word.

I don't know if anyone has raised this issue (because I'm dedicated to not reading previous replies this evening) but take for example, the dancing banana's that I post. There is a whole line of obscene banana's that I never use. Once you peel open the door to total banana freedom there is nothing to stop a person from posting the obscene banana's in the Telestial. Once that happens it's only a matter of time before we have unleashed the porn genie. Not a good idea, folks.

(Now watch, everyone will go looking for the obscene banana's...look, do not post them!)
