Hi, Ray. They can go ahead and look. I don't care. I hesitated initially since I knew such a thing would run counter to Shades's vision of the board---something you are apparently too selfish and inconsiderate to worry about. But, you wouldn't shut up about it, so I caved. They can go ahead and look if it will make you feel better. Otherwise, you can carry on with your little cry-baby fest.
You and I both know that you made a false accusation, mainly because you are still sore about my "Many Faces of Ray A" thread. But, if you'd managed to rein in your volatility, I never would have had to post that thread. You brought all of this on yourself. Try taking some responsibility for once in your life, Ray.
The more I read your posts, Scratch, the more I wonder about you. So all of this is an exercise in "reigning in volatility"? Interesting. You and others used the same tactic on Josh Skains. He's a critic of anti-Mormonism, a critic of MDB, hardly what I would call a "TBM", but because of his criticisms the aim is to skin him alive!
I see shades of Hofmann here, especially in your case where you're prepared to alter original texts
to deceive readers to form a
false point of view. It's also called blackmail, or "silencing the critics of anti-Mormonism". Instead of attacking arguments, you attack the person. This is what you did in the case of DCP/Quinn. This is what you do in the case of
all apologists. Don't answer their arguments, find "juicy bits of gossip" to slowly white-ant them. In my case five year old posts, from another board, in a totally different context. I get it. Of course, I always suspected this. The only "legitimate" change a person can/should make, is from Mormon to anti-Mormon/ex-Mormon, then it's ALL praise! No searching past posts, no "looking for inquity", no blackmail, no looking for "inconsistencies", because that person is now "on the right side". In other words - character assassination is the order of the day to attain "submission".
This is basically what Hofmann did. He believed he was going to be a GA, a true blue TBM he was, then he lost his testimony, and decided HE would change Mormonism. I have a friend who actually met Hofmann, and had dinner with him, and my friend said Hofmann was "a real gentleman", and looked "very normal", but he ended up killing two Mormons. His eventual aim was to kill!
Scratch, I am under no illusions. I know what some anti-Mormons are like, that's why I eventually deleted my blog here. I and other criticis of anti-Mormons here and elsewhere have to watch our backs. We know the long knives are out for us, and that there will be no tactic spared in trying to undermine us, and silence us, and it will all be done in the name of "truth". Look at how many times my email to the Z. moderators has been quoted, and it even became one signature line. The aim: Repeat, repeat, repeat, until character is blackened. This is how Hitler manipulated the Germans, by using, and repeating slogans, until everyone came to hate the Jews.
And that is your aim, Scratch, to manufacture hate, or to create prejudices. And that is the aim of many here, to manufacture hate (or misinformation to create prejudice) against Mormons, or "TBMs". This what I spoke out against, and in doing so I knew I was going to be targeted. You really didn't break any news to me.
