Here are two videos I loved watching on MTV back when I was a young girl.

Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Want to Have Fun:

And Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer:

I didn't really like Peter Garbriel so much. I do like Cyndi Lauper though.

Kim,

Way back on page 9 I did one of my little band posts on Peter Gabriel. I have his greatest hit CD. He has alot of really great songs, LIke "Solsbury Hill", and "Games Without Frontiers". I read once that Eddie Van Halen tunes the speakers in his studio to Gabriels "Red Rain".

My wife loves Cindi Lauper. I had to explain to her what the song "She Bop" was about. I think I tainted it forever for her.

Moniker,

Lots of godies in there! I jumped right to the Hooters "And we Danced". What a great song! The Bangles had alot of great songs, I was going to post "In Your Room", but then I realized what a nughty song it was once you pay attention to the lyrics..

Image

The Bangles - Hazy Shade Of Winter (From the "Less that Zero" soundtrack)- http://youtube.com/watch?v=NFRx4PkXeVM

If She Knew What She Wants - http://youtube.com/watch?v=HjQ76vqwYMk

Going Down To Liverpool ( I love this song, and Leonard Nimoys in the video!) - http://youtube.com/watch?v=dWC2-MFwWr8

In one of my rebellious moments on my mission I picked up a Bangles greatest hits cassette. I can remember lying in bed with the volume low listening to my worldy music, lol. After about two weeks I think I tossed it and repented, but almost every song on it was really great.

I just noticed, page nine was in August! I love this thread.

I just watched that Sledgehammer video. That must have been an eternal video shoot, all that stop.... move something... take a picture. was obviously worth it, because its one that everyone remembers. And it holds up really nicely after 21 years.

We're really not music posts snobs here! I only called your attention to it in case you wanted to see more of his videos since you obviously like his songs.

Please post some more! what was your favorite slow dance (from a distance of three hymn books between you) song from church dances?

(Valentines day is coming, and we need to work on our romance songs)

Thank you, Gaz.

I'll post more, don't worry, and they'll be new songs, not reposts. :)
