Ah... I see how it is... I turn my back and in comes the peanut Gallery.

Yes the Skull appears to be the wisconsin mound skull. Any news on when the Museum is going to send you the "articles" California Kid?

We have dealt with this in detail elsewhere. Bottom line, mesoamerica does not lend itself to extensive travel with chariots -- rainforests, mountains, rivers, etc.

I dispensed this bit of nonsense on my website, but my larger point is that each time cdowis made this assertion on Z, a critic would demonstrate to him that he was incorrect. My god, even Sorenson talked about one area in particular in the Book of Mormon and why it was so conducive to horse warfare. And yet none of it registers with him at all! It's like DCP reading the debunking of the Wisconsin skull and yet still using it as evidence. What's up with this? Is it that their minds are helpfully "erasing" damaging information without their conscious awareness, or are they deliberately ignoring information that contradicts their assertions?

In DCPs defense... The particulr segment was taped 2 years ago... according to liv California Kid didn't get the information until early last year. If I recall correctly.

Hi Beasty... Seven of 9 (If I recall correctly)

2 Ne. 12:7 Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.

2 Ne. 15:28 Whose arrows shall be sharp, and all their bows bent, and their horses’ hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind, their roaring like a lion.

Better drop these... they are Isaiah References. What do they have to do with Meso-America?

1:14 Yea, wo be unto the Gentiles except they repent; for it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Father, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots;

This one is speaking of the Gentiles. Not about Mesoamerica Either.

You could at least notethat... If you alread did. (never mind)

I was talking about his documentation of the thermite cuts in the support beams.

What, are you a 9/11 conspiracy theorist?

To an extent. I think it's clear that someone knew the planes were coming and made sure the buildings fell, but who is up for debate.
Popular Mechanics has done a wonderful job of refuting the 911 conspiracy folks (the Loose Change folks and others)..

Actually, yeah. I wrote Alec and he said he'd just forgotten about it and he'd try to get them in the mail this week.

Last night on the history channel, there was an interesting show that sort of relates to this thread.

An archaeologist noticed how some ancient Greek drawings reminded her of some dinosaur bones.

To make a long story short, turns out, there were indeed dinosaur bones found and revered by ancient Greeks from which many of their myths originated.

The point being, this supports the idea that cultures, (similar to ours), knew of, collected, and revered prehistoric bones of extinct animals.

One-breasted female warriors; the one-eyed, man-eating Cyclops; the ferocious griffin, part bird, part lion. Were these creatures, celebrated by the ancient Greeks and immortalized by Homer, something more than myth? Join the hunt with some of today's leading paleontologists as we explore newly-translated evidence and examine remains that may link the Greek classical age with Earth's prehistoric past. New data suggests that the ancients searched for, excavated, measured, and displayed massive fossils.
