Do you have a core philosophical problem with not having sex before marriage?

Did you watch the song? I don't think it's even a matter of agreeing or disagreeing - it's darn funny no matter what your position.

Were the song all that was mentioned, then you may have a point. Unfortunately, the song was used by the author of the OP to ungraciously mock the Church--specifically singles Wards.

Here's Milo Turk and his virtuous song:

PS - I give up trying to get the title to fit in the subject line! Argh!

Even were I inclined to making snearing judgements about other peoples' moral codes (which I am not), I would hesitate applying the pejoritive label of "nut job", particularly if I had been traumitized throughout my youth by a perfectly benign cupecake analogy. But, that may just be me.

Give it a rest, McTherapist.

You've said many times that you would avoid engaging me, but here you are again. Go away.

KA

Wade---KA has politely asked you not to engage her. Please respect that.

This was a particularly snarky comment and you know it.

It was a joke, since presumably Mormon Singles Wards are full of folks who practice celibacy. My fully believing, very devout LDS mother would have made the same joke (and tossed herself into the mix as well). Lighten up - not everything everybody says on this board is intended to mock or denigrate. Egads.

Like your LDS mother, I can take a joke when it is meant in good fun. And, were the author of the "joke" to not have a history of denegrating the Church, it is likely that I would have "lightened up".

However, that fact that I found KA's "joke" to be mocking, cannot reasonably be interpreted as me considering "everything everybody says on this board is intended to mock or denigrate". I don't. Egads, indeed. ;-)

Please, save this for either Harmony or TD, our resident social science gurus de jure.

What makes you think Dr. Peterson has a leopard skin?

by the way, I heard someone comment that while it was obvious the girl was Mormon, they were glad they did not link the non-R-rated stuff with the Church. She may talk about her religion on future episodes.

I asked her. Just waiting for her to go on line. She might tell me. Who knows?

If you have a PhD in Copulatory Abnegation, then you don't have a PhD in everything that counts! Certain degrees cannot be earned without practical experience.

Actually, Kimberly's PhD is in Copulatory Adbication, and hence, she is in no position to pontificate upon the subject of premarital celibacy.

I confess that I found myself thinking "if you ever had the chance to have sex I doubt you would turn it down. Seriously." It's like me saying I don't want to be slim and look 25 for the next 50 years.

1) it was a horrible song
2) the guy acted really strange
3) he should be happy to get some wherever that might be
4) I hated my Singles Ward. It was horrible.
Insert ironic quote from fellow board member here.
