The comments so far in this thread illustrate the truth of the sentence "The things I see the most is people have no idea how it affects people and how widespread it is and how serious of an issue it is."
Or as my mother said, "I am shocked at what no longer shocks me."
There is a difference between "eeeewwwww" and pornographic.

I don't wear provocative clothes when I work out. I get skeeved out at guys looking at me. It makes me feel ookie.
I read when I work out and try to not look at anyone else.
I wonder what videos are considered pornographic? Is there a list somewhere? I don't even pay attention to what's on the moniters.

I for one am tired of having to look at old man butt.

Naw, it's worse to see them in decade old garments with big yellow and brown stains.
What has been seen cannot be unseen.

Ironically, the gym a few blocks from BYU is the one where one is most likely to be mesmerized by scantily clad women working out. Perhaps the gym should just ban BYU students...

Yep, PG baby! I typically go to the american fork golds. 6am during the week...

Still waiting for Will to back this up...

The only people that walk about unabashadly in the female locker room is 70-90+ year old women. I suppose with age you just don't care anymore?? Like I said, I try not to look at anyone. I've become quite skilled at navigating about with eyes glued to the floor.

A while back the BYU paper The Daily Universe ran a series of articles on the history of the university. One proudly bore the headline "BYU a Bastion of Stability in the 60s." In short, BYU was free of protests opted out of the struggle over the two great moral issues of the time--civil rights and the Vietnam War. But now BYU students are finally "standing for something"--the constitutional right to not see women dancing in tights. (Goodbye ballet!)
The Church should be proud that the student body of its flagship school knows its moral priorities so well. If it were up to BYU students, we might still be segregating and legally subjugating blacks and senselessly slaughtering hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese every year. But, dammit, we'd be doing it in modest attire.

I'm sure brigham young would be shocked to see tank tops on women. Oh, the horror! I hate change...
Although it can't be too bad. The church has 'loosened up' as well. Garments get skimpier and skimpier all the time.

Good question!
This reminds me of where I've seen some of skimpiest clothing and most provocative dancing of my life--the World Ballroom Dance Championships, which were (or are) held annually at BYU. Perhaps students will boycott these as well.
