I agree that people are free to speculate about sock puppets but I'm personally against that as well. On this thread a previous handle was changed to honor a person's request and yet, he is left twisting. He too, speculated about a person's changed identity so where is the point at which admin edits a post from within for one person and leaves the other unaddressed?

I went back and read the OP more carefully and you're correct. He did confirm his identity. Glaring mistake on my part. Now let me ask you this. Did Liz confirm via IP to you who he was or not? I'm not asking if she shared the IP itself, I'm asking if she shared the confirmation with you.

Sort of the same thing I saw you do with another poster that you assumed was someone else. Liz confirmed that it was who I had suspected. She didn't say it was the same IP, but I knew that she would have checked that for confirmation. Because that's the only ways mods can confirm an identity. I won't post her PM on this board (or anyones for that matter) but she replied in the affirmative that it was definitely him.

And that you made the assertion that she did check IP addresses based on the fact that you "knew that she would have checked that for confirmation"? See, I could have just have easily said it was definitely "him" based on posting style, but would not have needed an IP address for confirmation. I know Liz can check IPs to identify posters. There was an instance on this board where it was very important that an IP be checked. I know Liz can check IPs and I know she has the ability to check them against other posters to see if sockpuppetry has been going on. This was for an in real life risk to my safety purpose.
I don't know what Liz did or did not do in this instance with the IP addresses. I'm telling you I know she confirmed it was him. I assumed it was an IP check because really that's the only way you know. But she didn't share the IP with me. She told me she knew it was him since he first posted.
I'm bowing out of this for now. I assume that truth will be arrived at eventually and that it can do so without further prompting from me. Suffice it to say that I'm disillusioned on many levels. I'll check back here later to see if something has been resolved.

My reading comprehension must suck today - went back and looked at the first posts in this thread, and I guess Liz confirmed that she had checked IP addresses:

Well, if I have a say, I saw that doosh didn't "out" himself. I saw someone talk about Liz saying Doosh was PP. I don't particularly like his attitude but I don't particulary like watching a load of crap. (even my own at times) But Jersey Girl is right. If doosh wished that we knew who he was he would tell us. It is OK to have our guesses and try to figure it out, but it is a whole different matter when people are being affected. Anyway Im quite excited because I had cut my phone charger wire by accident, then my battery ran out, so, I repaired it with insulating tape. And guess what? It works. :P
