OK, guys, this is the deal.

After seeing "Doosh's" writing style, I deducted that Doosh was our friend, PP. WITHOUT checking his IP, I wrote a little comment in the Doosh/Nehor thread in the Telestial kingdom, "Welcome back, PP."

To be honest, I really didn't think he was trying to hide anything. His posts were so blatantly PP'ish that I really didn't think anything of it, particularly since I honestly had not really even gone to check the IP.

Moniker had mentioned in a PM to me that Doosh was being rude to her in chat and asked me if PP was, indeed, Doosh. My comment was something like, "it's pretty obvious. You don't even have to check IP's to see that it's him."

That's not an exact quote, but that's pretty much the gist of the conversation, which I'm sure that Monker can confirm.

I have had complications with my knee again, and have been on pain killers most of the weekend, so to be honest, I'm not all that lucid at the moment. I'm due for surgery in a few weeks.

In any case, I apologize for overstepping lines. I should not have said anything about PP's return, even if it was through my own deductive reasoning, because since I'm a Mod, it is easily assumed by most that the reason for this is because I looked at the IP.

PP's rancor at me, however, extends from a private dispute we had before he left the board.

Also, PP, for the record, you are confusing me with Jersey Girl as far as meeting at Starbucks goes. I love Starbucks. I'll meet you there anytime.

If Shades wants to relieve me of my Mod duties, that's his call. I've tried to be a good Mod and be as even handed as I can be. I will let my relationships with each of you stand on their own accord.

Yah, that's pretty much it. I think you are a good Mod, you have bent over backwards for me in the past to be helpful with in real life situation! I mean, really, did things that were much more than expected because you cared about my safety.

LIZ. I don't think this would come close to "relieving" you of your duties. You are a person as are we all. I think a lot has been said and people should move on. No harm was done. If doosh really doesn't want to be known then he can make another sock. I doubt greatly that Shades would do such a thing. Unless "relie"f is what you desire but that is your business. This is a forum. No body died. Everyone slips up at times, not necesarly knowingly.

I've been outed repeatedly on this board. Someone posted my name the other day and I sent the poster a PM. He'd been informed of my moniker (who knows why?) by PM and just was being cute and clever in a thread with it. I've talked about sockpuppets often with Jersey Girl. Lots of other people too. I don't even care anymore if anyone is or is not a sockpuppet. This is the way I think of it now: You are all sockpuppets (excluding a select few) and I will treat you as if you are always bsing me.

If you don't want people to know you're a sockpuppet, changing writing styles and avatars might help.

KA, I'm not hiding from someone that READ my posts, or was familiar with me on the board. Most people immediately knew it was me -- not hiding from them. Then I told everyone else that I wanted to know. It's someone that was NOT familiar with me on the board but became stalkerish. Someone in real life.

So, if someone, let's say doesn't want to spend a lot of time reading this board but comes in with the "search" function to see if I'm posting or my name is being used he won't see "me" since the name is not on the board or being used. Geddit?

for what it's worth, Liz, I love you. You are a very good mod, and the fact that you've owned up to making a possible mistake speaks volumes in itself.

Nobody is perfect, and it is a gray line as to whether you did anything wrong at all.

Personally, I can't stand either PP or dooosh. I have never put anyone on ignore, but I would put both of them on...if there were an ignore feature, that is...
