And so there are three different types of love. It was likened unto a fire. It was important to have al these types of love in a relationship in order for the fire to burn at it's best and these loves were; most importantly, Friendship; Marrage and "ripping each others clothes off". Without one of these the fire will not be strong and it will surely burn out.
It's Greek. The three loves are agape, philia, and eros. See wikipedia: Greek words for love
philia is friendship.
eros is sexual attraction
agape is, well, I'm not really sure. It's a special love we have for family and God. It's other things too.
I am sure one of them was "dod"
"agapê (love, charity) and words derived from it
philia (friendship, love) and words derived from it
storgê (natural affection), only as astorgos (lacking natural affection) in Ro.1:31 and 2Tim.3:3.
A fourth Greek word for "love", eros (attraction, sexual love) is not found in the Greek New Testament, neither the word itself nor as root of another word."

Oops I guess I don't know the language of the Bible. Quite funny considering several months ago I had asked a friend where I might find the greek lexicon New Testament online. Haaa!
