We haven't even qualified for the Euro's this time round!
Normally I'm pretty proud to be British. But when it comes to sport, at some point you have to hold your hands up and admit that you're rubbish...!

The worst was the weekend before New Year where we could have:

1. Won the Rugby World Cup
2. Hamilton could have won the Grand Prix.

...both in the same weekend...
...guess what happened!

...at least we have the best thugs..?! :)

I liked Ian Botham. He was at least a "charismatic thug" :)

Don't talk about Warnie and controversy. Just in case you missed it: http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=369548

I've often wondered how church members and 'investigators' outside the US (or North America, at most) view this phenomenon and how they see their cultures and history fitting into the big picture of Mormonism.

In South America, Mormons generally consider themselves special Mormons in the sense that the Book of Mormon is about their ancestors.

This is something I've been meaning to bring up on the other board, perhaps even to DCP. But I will ask it here:

How does one who subscribes to the LGT interpret the Book of Mormon references to a chosen land? It seems this theory would indicate that Central America, perhaps Guatemala, is the chosen land, not North America.

Fu xi and his wife/sister Nu Washington are an example of the gospel in China and the surrounding area.

According to legend the land was swept by a great flood and only Fuxi and his sister Nüwa survived. They retired to Kunlun Mountain where they prayed for a sign from the Emperor of Heaven. The divine being approved their union and the siblings set about procreating the human race.[1] Fu Xi then came to rule over his decedents although reports of his long reign vary between sources from 115 years (BC 2852-2737) to 116 years (BC 2952-2836).

He lived for 197 years altogether and died at a place called Chen (modern Huaiyang, Henan) where his mausoleum can still be found.[1]

Notice the symbols held in their hands. A compass and square. The phrase kuei chu is used by modern Chinese to signify "the way things should be, the moral standard"; it literally means the compass and the square.

This silk tapestry was located in the tomb of Fan Yen-Shih. It is located in the Gobi Desert in the north of Gaochang, 40 kilometers away from Turpan city. Notice the use of the Big Dipper.

This statue is located outside the tomb and is a modern depiction of the tapestry:

Yes, I've been wondering that too. How do those references match southern Mexico and Guatemala?
